MSH TAG v1.2 four-player (preview) -- four players, one per fighter
===================================================================

The four-player MSH TAG for the MSH TAG RetroArch core. P1 and P3 are one team, P2 and P4
the other. It's a patch for your own ROM: this download holds no ROM data.

On Windows, the MSH TAG RetroArch download does everything (it holds this installer, the
core and a launcher): put your clean ZIP next to PLAY MSH TAG 4P.cmd and double-click it.

What it does
------------
Everything the two-player MSH TAG does (see its README), with one player per fighter:
- There are no coin or Start buttons: P1 and P2 press HP+HK to join, and pick both of
their team's fighters on the select screen.
- P3 plays P1's second pick and P4 plays P2's, wherever that fighter is: flying in on a tag,
fighting on point, or beside the point in a double team or a team super.
- Whoever is on point starts the team moves (tags, Counter Switch, double team, team super,
snapback). The teammate takes over the fighter who comes in.
- Start isn't there, so no taunt and no Infinity Gem cycling in the four-player game.

New in v1.2: the automatic tag-entry attack allows standing or crouching guard.
Your own jumping attacks retain the game's guard rules, and P3/P4 keep their independently
held inputs. Hulk's crouching HP keeps a connected first strike in its launcher follow-up;
first-hit whiffs, damage and active timing remain native. Earlier v1.1 repairs are included.
See TESTER_CHECKLIST.txt for the independent Windows and four-controller checks still open.

Supported sets
--------------
The same as the two-player MSH TAG: a clean msh (Euro 951024, the one Fightcade plays), mshu,
msha, mshjr1 or mshud ZIP, with its key file (the Phoenix mshud's key is written for you).

This package includes the earlier correction for the $005E38 "life bar tiles"
rejection of clean retail sets. It fixes both the table reads and the checks; no ROM
identity check is bypassed. Download this version again if you saw that exact error,
then patch your clean original ZIP. Its contents remain unchanged.

How to make msh4p.zip
---------------------
Windows: drag your clean ZIP onto msh-tag-v1.2-4p-preview.cmd
macOS/Linux: python3 msh_tag_4p_patch.py /path/to/msh.zip
It writes msh4p.zip and msh4p.zip.receipt.json beside your ZIP. Keep the name msh4p.zip:
the MSH TAG core finds the game by it. The two-player patch and RetroArch's own FinalBurn
Neo core don't read ports 3 and 4 for this game.

The double team sky: with your clean Marvel vs. Capcom ZIP (mvsc.zip) next to your MSH ZIP,
or dropped on the .cmd with it, or given with --mvc /path/to/mvsc.zip, double teams show
Marvel vs. Capcom's meteor sky. The installer reads it from your ZIP; nothing from Marvel
vs. Capcom is in this download. Without it the stage stays.

Playing online: every player makes msh4p.zip from the same set (msh and mshu give different
files), all with mvsc.zip or all without, or one player hosts with Parsec. See the
RetroArch download's README.
